Business Development Manager – Law – Barcelona / Madrid

Working for this international law firm in a pivotal role of Business Development Manager in the Madrid office you will provide business development support at both strategic and tactical levels to the Spanish practice and will be tasked with but not limited to:

Business Planning:

• Developing a detailed understanding of the Spanish practice groups.
• Translate the Spanish offices business plan objectives into a detailed business development and communications plan.

Targets and Clients:

• Help Spanish partners to design and implement new business initiatives.
• Support a focussed approach to development of client relationships.
• Produce and help to implement specific client action plans and detailed research.
• Identify key relationships for cross-selling opportunities for other offices, practice or sector groups.
• Client reviews
• Analysis

Communications:

• Plan and initiate emails/briefings/articles on hot topics for promotional use.
• Manage the active promotion of the Spanish practice areas via press, web and print channels.
• Ensure best practice methods are identified and transferred in the Spanish practice groups.

To be considered for this role you will ideally have extensive BD experience gained within a law firm or similar environment. Experience in an international context would be useful along with a proven track record in delivering against objectives and winning new business. You will be fluent in Spanish and have good management skills.
